Lyle Cowell
Based in northeast Saskatchewan, Lyle Cowell serves as Senior Agronomist with Nutrien Canada Wholesale, where he supports Nutrien’s NPKS fertilizer portfolio with a strong focus on agronomy and sustainability. Over his nearly three-decade career, Lyle has dedicated himself to advancing soil fertility management and connecting scientific research with practical farm-level application.
Before joining Nutrien Wholesale, Lyle spent many years as Manager of Agronomic Services for Nutrien Ag Solutions in northeast Saskatchewan, where he worked directly with growers to provide trusted, research-driven advice. His career has been shaped by a commitment to bridging the gap between academic soil science, agronomic extension, and on-farm implementation — ensuring that sound fertility practices translate into measurable results for Western Canadian producers
Lyle earned both his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) and Master of Agriculture in Soil Science from the University of Saskatchewan, where he also worked in the Department of Soil Science early in his career.
