Our challenge was to effectively promote Nutrien Premium Fertilizer Technologies’ (NPFT) two key product brands—ESN Smart Nitrogen and Smart Nutrition MAP+MST—while engaging growers and retailers with information on the benefits of sulfur and nitrogen for crop fertility.

To strategically target this challenge, NPFT introduced two mascots, Nitro (for ESN) and Sulpho (for Smart Nutrition MAP+MST), designed to be memorable and playful, making complex agronomic information more approachable. By incorporating these characters into a 2-page print ad, NPFT aimed to stand out from competitors and make it easier for growers to understand the value of adding both nitrogen and sulfur to their fertility management programs. 

We engaged the target audience—growers, retailers, and crop consultants—through a creative and informative print ad that highlighted the benefits of each product. NPFT also aimed to generate sales leads and encourage further engagement through QR codes driving traffic to their brand websites.
